Abstract :
Black Sea and Caspian coasts are moderate to highly populated regions where many holiday and health resort installations exist. Ukraine and Turkey have well-developed infrastructure of oil industry, transport and refrigeration technologies. However, using rather old technologies due to historical reasons, manufacturing installations may release large quantities of stratospheric ozone-depleting substances such as CFC, VOC, NOx, HCF´s, chloromethanes and especially of light hydrocarbons (CH4 etc.) which is one of the possible sources that increases the O3 concentration in the troposphere. Therefore, understanding and control of sources of pollution in the troposphere by O3 and other stratospheric ozone-depleting substances is of great interest in this region. In this report we discuss preliminary results of joint investigation of the ozone layer over this region, on methods and duration of ozone observations and comparison of obtained results by satellite data
