Abstract :
The nonlinear system model is equally converted into an approximate model with error by using partition of unity, which has the capability of approximating a continuous function at arbitrary precision. A guaranteed cost controller is then proposed for the nonlinear system based on the approximate model under certain error condition.The controller ensures that the system controlled is quadratically stable as well as that the cost function is bounded. Finally, a numerical simulation illustrates the validity of the method in this paper
