Abstract
This paper studied heuristics algorithms for city transportation network design. We gave a city transportation network optimization model, and pointed out the deficiency of traditional method. Then, we put forward two simple heuristic algorithms for this model after defining single-side domination set problem and giving its heuristic algorithm. These two algorithms were compared in performance. Also numerical example was constructed to demonstrate our algorithms. Results show that algorithm I can obtain the optimal solution, while algorithm II runs quickly. In practice, they can be adopted according to the priority of optimality and velocity
