Abstract :
This paper presents a solution to a robust Hinfin filtering problem with sensor faults. The robust Hinfin filter design methods are developed against sensor faults. A given upper bound of the filtering Hinfin performance in the sensor faults case is guaranteed and the performance in the normal case is optimized. A new formulation in terms of linear matrix inequality (LMI) is adopted without introducing additional conservativeness. A flight control example is given to illustrate the proposed design procedures. Furthermore, the normal filter and the robust Hinfin filter are compared to show the necessity of robust design
