Abstract :
This paper presents a novel reasoning - problem-based similarity innovation reasoning. This kind of reasoning is driven by problems and their solving. Its purpose is to give the innovation reasoning from the viewpoint of similarity. In this paper, the representation, the indexing and the similar matching of problems are discussed firstly, and then the similarity reasoning and similarity innovation of problems are studied. Three basic principles for similarity reasoning and three basic principles for similarity innovation are given. Finally, the basic procedure for similarity innovation reasoning is proposed
