Abstract :
An algorithm model based on cellular automata for constructing Voronoi diagram of complex entities in grid space is proposed in this paper. The grids are abstracted as cells in the model take advantage of the discrete quality of CA. The belonging of cell is determined in the transaction process of cell´s states. Voronoi diagrams in grid space are generated along with the evolution of CA. Not only the model could be applied to complex entities, but also it don´t depend on some certain distance calculate ways. As the experiment demonstrated that the model based on cellular automata is effective for creating weighted Voronoi diagram of complex entities
