Abstract :
This study proposes the biphase impulse generation by a new optical direct sequence-binary phase shift keying (DS-BPSK) modulation scheme for indoor ultrawide-band (UWB) radio-over-fiber communications. Fiber dispersion and inter-symbol interference (ISI) problems can be avoided by properly adjusting pulse width. The simulation and analytical results demonstrate that the presented scheme indeed provides several GHz bandwidths for future high-bit-rate indoor UWB wireless systems
