  • Abstract
The need to improve mother and child health care provision in developing countries is worldwide acknowledged and the respective process goes along with a series of movies which compromise the materialization of this objective. Using a qualitative research approach and interpretive paradigm, this article is a work in progress that intends to describe and discuss how the process of creating new information tools to support mother and child health care programs take place in Mozambique, and how the roll-out of the process influences negatively in the achievements of good mother and child health care and consequently the related Millennium developing goals. The activity theory is used to unveil the movies and preliminary findings are here presented.
