Abstract :
To investigate the interaction between stereocilia and the links of inner hair cells during the motion of the organ of Corti and local stress distribution, two 3D finite-element models were built. Static and dynamic simulation results showed that the top of stereocilia at the intermediate row might be a key location for activating gated ion channels.
