  • Abstract
Zero-lag synchronization in networks composed of semiconductor lasers with mutual coupling interaction has been investigated in much of the recent literature in the field. However, this type of synchronized behavior suffers from de-synchronization (bubbling) events. An analysis of these events and how they determine the laser network performance is presented. The duration and repetition rate of the intermittent de-synchronization events are quantified in order to be associated with the changes in the operating network´s parameters. The role of the mediating element in the star network topology in defining leader or laggard dynamics is also under investigation.
