Abstract
A new and simple method is proposed to design the P-D feedback controller for continuous-time descriptor systems in this paper. The original system is turned into a normal system by using a linear transformation. Based on the control theory and variable substation method, the bilinear inequality is changed to the linear matrix inequality (LMI). With this method, the LMI conditions and P-D feedback controller are obtained for the admissibility related to the descriptor closed-loop system. Finally, a numerical example illustrates the correctness and effectiveness of the method.
