  • Abstract
IF YOU take one medicine regularly, there´s a fair chance that you take several others too - and quite probably on an assortment of schedules, which means keeping track of what you have and haven´t taken so far today. A weekly pillbox is a good start, keeping all the tablets for each day in one place, but it doesn´t solve the timing issue. It´s a particular problem for anyone looking after an elderly or otherwise vulnerable relative with memory problems. Enter the reminder app for your smartphone. Timers and alarms are a pretty standard use for mobile phones, but add an Internet connection and you can look your medicines up as well. The free Care4Today mobile health manager (MHM) apps for Android and iPhone do all that and more: they also have a web element with user registration and the ability to link multiple users to the same account, so for example the app can alert family members if a dose is missed.
