Abstract :
Front Cover: Loyola Blakefield senior Jonny Wick solders components on his audio amplifier kit while classmate Erik Fick observes. The kits were completed as part of the electronics instruction in Loyola??s "Introduction to Engineering" program. A Student Activity Highlight by Robert Rassa describes this program and appears on pages 5-7 in this issue. Back Cover: A die photo of the ISO 11898 transmitter wire bonded for overtemperature measurements. The figure appears on page 41 of this issue as part of the article, "Cold-Capable, Radiation-Hardened SiGe BICMOS Wireline Transceiver," by England et al. Both the RS-485 and the ISO 11898 transceivers work robustly from 90 K to 390 K and are targeted for use in space-based electronic systems. Enjoy reading this article that appears on pages 32-41.
