Abstract :
Wireless sensor network is typically used to detect and monitor various types of objects in real-time monitoring area in which security is one major challenge. Evaluation of nodes´ trust is proven to be an effective solution of improving security, supporting decision-making and nodes collaboration in both wired and wireless networks. However, existing approaches of trust management emphasize mostly on trust modeling and overlook the overhead issues. This paper presents a new lightweight trust evaluation algorithm with high reliability and ring-based clustering algorithm. On the combination of that and the inter-clusters routing algorithm, a security energy-efficient cluster-routing protocol is formed. The simulation shows that the proposed scheme not only provides robustness against malicious and selfish nodes and more reliable data delivery, but also balances the overall network energy consumption, delays dead time of the sensor node, under the premise of the sacrifice acceptable overhead.
