Abstract :
With the launching activities of spacecrafts, there come the increased demands of autonomous navigation of those medium-high Earth orbital satellites. Now the application of satellite navigation system is mainly on LEO satellite, its application on the medium-high Earth orbital satellites has to be further explored. The navigation of GEO satellites is essentially one kind of parameter estimation and in this paper the feasibility of GEO satellites´ navigation based on GNSS was explored. In this article the coverage analysis was done to answering the feasibility of the application of GNSS for those satellites. Besides, the observation geometry of GEO satellites based on GNSS was also considered. Those results could be a reference for those high orbit satellites´ navigation based on satellite navigation system.
