Abstract :
George Hockham studied at Regent Street Polytechnic, where he obtained a BSc in Electrical Engineering and, later in 1969, a PhD from the University of London. He started work at STL (Standard Telecommunications Laboratories) at Harlow as a graduate engineer in 1961. He developed his lifelong interest in electromagnetic theory from two of the legendary figures there, Len Lewin and Tony Karbowiak.
