Abstract :
The Six-Sequence Fault Components was used for fault location Algorithm of double lines on the same tower commonly. But the Algorithm is greatly influenced by the parameter´s symmetry of transmission line, and particularly, the algorithm will bring bigger error when the conductor transposition is not perfectly. The paper analyzes the error of the fault location Algorithm based on the models of complete transposition and no-complete transposition. According to the results of the above analysis, the paper raises a fault location method by using the electromagnetic coupling relationship between double lines. The PSCAD simulation test indicates that the new method has higher accuracy.
