Abstract :
This paper develops a fuzzy critical chain method for resource conflict resolution in software projects scheduling. The method consists of developing a novel fuzzy estimation technique based on Delphi for activity duration, and adding the capacity constraint buffer between neighboring projects to deal with resource conflict. The size of the capacity constraint buffer is determined by computation with the complexity, resource tightness and safety time of the capacity constraint activity. Finally, the result of a numerical example shows that this method is able to provide the sufficient staggered time for the whole projects.
