Abstract
This paper studies the transmission characteristics of SH0 wave in flat steel by changing the slope of groove shape defect. The result shows that the smaller the defect slope is, the weaker the reflected signal received is. The reflected signal even can´t be recognized when it is so weak that it will be submerged in the noise signal.
