Abstract :
In this paper, we design a medical assistance system, which uses a data mining algorithm named improved genetic algorithm (IGA) to extract the proper behavior model according to the target database of the hospital, and develop the clinical pathways based on the behavior model. The quality of the behavior model can be evaluated by the application of the clinical pathways in the clinical diagnosis and treatment activities. To verify the performance of the algorithm, we compared the recall ratio and precision ratio of our algorithm with that of two typical algorithms named Genetic algorithm (GA) and Apriori in the simulation. The result shows that the performance of the IGA is better than the other two algorithms.
