Abstract :
The paper provides a new way to optimize the location of container depots. According to the environmental effect brought by the daily operation of depots, in the optimal model both cost and environmental constraints are taken into account. In order to assess the environmental effect caused by depots, an AHP model was used in the paper. Because of the environmental constraints are considered in the model, the decision of the location of depots can not be made just according to cost. In order to test the model, it is implemented to locate the depots around Qingdao port.
