  • Abstract
Every so often, one may start to write an article, a proposal, a report, or even simply work on a problem, then stop, erase/delete, and start over again. Sometimes this sequence may be repeated several times without success or significant progress. Similarly, you might be reading and have to reread a paragraph or page several times before the content seems to finally make sense. In these circumstances, do you then stop to ask yourself if you have really thought through what it is you are trying to do? Do you stop to think of all the variables that may be impacting your progress or possibly clouding the basic results? You will-sometimes. Sometimes you just junk whatever you were working on and go off to do something else until your thoughts clear and you can make progress on that particular task.
