Abstract :
Extension theory and extension methods are widely used in engineering, social and economic fields and have made a great amount of profit. There are also boundless perspectives for their applications on education and educational research. This paper puts forward theory and research method of Extension Higher Education, and presents the brief concepts about education matter-element, teaching matter element, and transformation of education/teaching matter element. Some applying possibilities are discussed. A simple way of using theory of Extension Higher Education to research China´s higher education system syntheses is specially described. Studies show that Extension Higher Education has established extensibility characteristics and transformation mechanism of education/teaching; in addition, Extension higher education can build the evaluation standards of higher education goals from the incompatible to compatible.
