Abstract
Endogenous and exogenous perturbations acting on a protein can alter the thermodynamic equilibrium of the system, leading to a transition toward a denaturated state. In this paper we show results from molecular dynamics (MD) simulations of the superoxide dismutase (SOD) in water exposed to CW 1 GHz and 2.45 GHz signals, looking at the possible ways in which an external signal can be transduced into biochemical effects.
