Abstract :
Health records can be used in healthcare and medical history, which enables medical staff to obtain additional information regarding the physical condition of a patient and provide effective treatment. In this study, the following characteristics of electronic health records were observed: 1) numerous users; 2) a large amount of data; 3) low variability; 4) privacy authorization; and 5) user-specific access. This study addressed the concerns related to electronic health records by investigating the features of cloud database services. The database used in this study was designed based on the characteristics of electronic health records, and an immense amount of data was stored based on file type to reduce the database load and save space. In addition, privacy controls were implemented to enable users to securely store data.
