Abstract :
The article is devoted to the problem of low productivity of timber harvesting machines. The operational cycle of the working process is analyzed. The need for automation is identified and justified. A particular attention is paid to control algorithms. Implementation of such algorithm has reduced the cycle time by 28% in comparison to the original one.
