Abstract :
Wang´s nonlinear companding scheme is investigated here for the first time for CO-OFDM transmissions. As a result of an optimal predistortion function design, we demonstrate a 3 dB BER advantage for a system employing a Semiconductor Optical Amplifier (SOA).
