  • Abstract
    Master-slave switching nodes with three planes for power grid communications in substation based on software defined network are proposed. A FPGA-based control module and its relative management software as well as an experimental optical switching node are developed, and built, which have verified the switch, control and routing management for the optical switching node. The proposed scheme can realize the multicast/broadcast function with the features of protection redundancy using double optical fibres in bi-directions, high reliability and miniaturization.
