Abstract :
This paper proposes a Tangible User Interface (TUI) for information curation using Near Field Communication (NFC) and smartphone. In current IT society, increase in electronic documents is more remarkable compared with paper documents. Electronic documents are usually treated with using Graphical User Interface (GUI). However, a user except experienced person has difficulty in reading and organizing documents with GUI. In particular, information curation such as grouping related documents and finding relationship among them is difficult. In order to solve this problem, an interface that can access electronic documents intuitively is expected. This paper proposes a TUI based on NFC and smartphone, by which a user can move and group electronic documents in a similar manner when handling paper documents. This paper describes the concept of proposed interface and discusses its expected use cases.
