Abstract :
Wide Area Measurement System (WAMS) can do the real-time monitoring of power grid dynamic behavior, thus, make up for the defect of Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition (SCADA) on the steady state monitoring of power grids. Time delay of control network is likely to deteriorate control effect and even leads to system instability. Using RTDS hardware in loop test platform and the measured time delay and random time delay was tested, respectively. The results show that the method can effectively compensate the fixed or random distribution of closed-loop delay and reduce the influence of time delay on control performance.
