Abstract
This paper gives the normalization efficiency function and defines the efficiency similarity of different boilers. Based on the efficiency function characteristics which can be approximately considered a concave, non-negative function through the origin, it presents a new optimal control method in the similar efficiency heat supply system and gives the minimum total energy consumption. The optimal control method is to keep the same flow rate for per boiler for the constant total heat supply task. This method is independent of the linearity or nonlinearity of the system and has no need for the system´s state equation or transfer function. Since the shapes of efficiency functions in nature are similar, the method given by this paper can be used in other fields.
