Title :
Optofluidic bio-lasers: Bridging photonics, nanotechnology, and biology
Author_Institution :
Biomed. Eng. Dept., Univ. of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI, USA
Abstract :
The optofluidic bio-laser integrates microfluidics, microcavity, and biochemically related gain medium. I will introduce the unique and advantageous characteristics of the optofluidic bio-laser, describe its current implementations, and discuss the future research and development.
