  • Abstract
Prognostics and Health Management (PHM) has become a hotspot in current research, and it demands to take testability in consideration at the beginning of equipment development. While there are some mechanical components in which extra sensors are not allowed to install after it has been manufactured, but their some key parameters should be monitored, so they must be designed as testable components, i.e., some sensors should be embedded into the components, and not to influence their structure and other properties. It is known to us all that a testable rotating shaft is a shaft which can monitor dynamic torque in real time. It is very difficult to complete since it involves electric energy supply online and wireless data transmission, etc. This paper develops a testable rotating shaft by integrating embedded data acquisition technology, non-contact inductive power supply technology and wireless data transmission technology. It provides a new approach to measure torque of a rotating shaft which is set in a small space. It has a lot of advantages such as high-speed data transmission, high sensitivity, high reliability, small power consumption, small volume, strong anti-jamming.
