Abstract :
Nowadays, with the development of network technology and multimedia technology, our demands for video streaming services are increasing. The video service is more important than ever before in communication network. However, the network has many constraint conditions, the quality of video can not make the people satisfied. In this paper, the MDP is used to choose the compression rate, and then people can get the better quality of video under limited bandwidth. The article introduces the video compression standard H.264, the demands of quality of video service for different users, and studied the MDP theory. Finally we give the simulation results based on Matlab and the future work about this research.
