  • Abstract
Autostereoscopic display with lenticular sheets has been widely used in family and public TV to provide 3D vision because no auxiliary aid is required to acquire 3D perception. The need of 3D videos is a growing hot spot with the development of the lenticular-lens based stereoscopic display technology. The traditional 3D video format is side-by-side, which means it provides two views separately for left and right eyes. The traditional 3DTV is commonly 7~8 views and transition appears apparently at the margin of view-zones. Philips proposed a 28-view scheme using 15-view video source to solve this problem. But actually it´s pretty hard to get so many views for interplation. This paper introduces a new way to make a super multi view display using the side-by-side videos. The first part of this paper introduces a method to produce real-time 8-view video from the initial 2 views by warping. In the second part, we try to modify the Philips scheme to satisfy our 8-view video source to make the 28-view display.
