  • Abstract
Integration of data from heterogeneous data sources is one of several technical challenges during the tunnel construction. BIM and relational database have maken their efforts for tunnel data organization, but they are not qualified for tunnel problem reasoning. This paper proposes a tunnel data organization method driven by Ontology, which is suitable for data reorganization as well as reasoning. In this mechanism, a tunnel domian ontology center is built by experts for accepting information from BIM and database. Combined with expert knowledge, the ontology is used for problem sloving and analysis. The ontology-driven system has been successfully applied in Shanghai HongMei South Tunnel Project, which improved the tunnel construction quality and helped avoid risks.
