Abstract :
We demonstrate directional-emission III-V-on-silicon microspiral and double-notch microdisk lasers with gaplessly coupled waveguides using wafer-bonding. We observe room-temperature pulsed-injection lasing with a threshold of 33 mA and a side-mode-suppression-ratio of 20 dB at 50 mA.
