Abstract :
Bulk heterojunction (BHJ) organic solar cells (OSC) containing zinc oxide (ZnO) nanoparticles (NPs) in the active layer were fabricated. The BHJ active layers consisted of poly(3-hexylthiophene-2,5-diyl) (P3HT), [6,6]-Phenyl-C61-Butyric Acid Methyl Ester (PCBM) and additionaly ZnO NPs were doped. We found that the power conversion efficiency (PCE) strictly depend on the size and the concentration of ZnO NPs. The maximum PCE was about 2.96% when the ZnO NPs concentration was 1%.
