Abstract :
In the present work, a method of simplified design of a power transformer for a DC-DC full-bridge converter is proposed. The main variable of the method is the magnetic flux density of the transformer core. Copper and core losses are calculated as a function of the flux density. The information required for the calculation is obtained from the data sheets of the manufacturers. This method allows to select the smallest core size required for certain conditions of throughput power, frequency and work temperature. Experimental results are presented.
