Abstract :
The author presents here the processes and ideas related to organizing and functioning of the radar surveillance system in the electronic environment of the 21st century, as a crucial element of the Air Defense System. It presents a new angle of looking at the environment in which the radar surveillance system works and its possible configuration, consisting of active, passive and supportive elements, as well as the subsystems of collecting radiolocation information and the subsystems responsible for controlling all elements of the radar surveillance system. The author emphasizes also the essential role of the efficient control of such a system in the environment of the contemporary battlefield, which - nowadays - is characterized by a high complexity degree.
