Abstract :
The construction, parameters and measurement results of living human location device have been presented in the paper. The device works basing on the short range low power noise radar. Because of using broadband noise signal and correlating receiver, high measurement precision and high sensitivity have been obtained. The radar works with 500 MHz band in S-band. Due to Doppler frequency measurement the movement from objects have been received and it lets to determine activity magnitude. The device can detect and locate living humans in room with high precision. Due to electronic scanning, the mainlobe of antennas sweeps observed area in azimuth. Due to digitally controlled delay line the area are swept in range. So, the analyzed area is divided in detection cells in two axes. Besides, the living human activity level is enable to determination. The location device is useful in special applications, like antiterrorism, as also for search and rescue teams. Due to low transmitted power, gained range is short and reaches several meters, but the device has LPI capabilities.
