Abstract
We present herein a original concept of contactless electrometer based on an electro-optic technique. The developed device embeds an electro-optic crystal ensuring the real-time analysis of the transverse electric field vector surrounding a multiwires power cable. The field behaviour has been theoretically investigated, numerically computed, and experimentally characterized with the realized electrometer.
