Abstract :
This paper describes steady state characteristics of the boost-type matrix converter for three-phase four wire system. The converter is intended for use in a stand-alone power source with constant voltage and frequency. The conventional method however is not able to control the output-voltage in the case of low power factor load. To solve the problem, we propose a new control method of the matrix converter by reviewing the conventional control method. To apply this system for stand-alone power source, we analyze steady state characteristics, and formulate relationship among circuit parameters, the output voltage and output power.
