Abstract :
This paper presents a novel auto-tuning method of inductances for permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM). In the proposed method, inductances are measured injecting high frequency current and voltage to the motor at standstill. On the basis of adaptive control, the current control executing inductance tuning is stable and highly accurate up to the high frequency area, though motor parameters are unknown before parameter tuning is executed. Experimental results of the proposed method are also obtained. According to the proposed method, current control has high accuracy, and inductances measured by auto-tuning are highly accurate.
