Abstract :
This paper proposed a reliability evaluation algorithm for distributed generating system based on sequential state duration sampling method. The power output fluctuation of distributed resources, chemical reaction constraint of energy storage device, and the power exchange strategy with the utility grid are taken into consideration. The method produces the time-varied status of all the elements in the system according to their failure models and then simulates the system operating situation within a statistical significant of the period. The power outage information in the entire statistical period is recorded and the reliability indices will be calculated then.
