Abstract
In order to face the coming era of DC power supplying, it is needed to establish the technology of high step-down converter for the electrical appliances´ control circuits, especially for dynamic appliances like air conditioner, refrigerator and freezer. For a forward converter suitable for high step-down[1]~[2], mathematical derivations, including steady-state analysis in time domain and static characteristic analysis in frequency domain, are performed for establishing precise design criteria. Also for the converter, the theoretical analysis is verified by the experiment. Furthermore, voltage stress of component is improved for practical use of this converter.
