Abstract :
Distribution network automation solution depends on the type of connection switch. This paper proposes a network protection scheme based on the breaker and load switch network: If the connection switch is a breaker, it can cut off the path of fault current when a short circuit fault happens, and can reclose once or several times according to the requirements. If the connection switch is a load switch, it cooperates with its superior breaker and opens the switch on either side of the fault after its superior breaker clears the faults. Then, the contact switch closes automatically. This scheme achieves the goal of isolation fault and load transfer.
