Abstract :
Life cycle asset management is one of the most significant concepts of modern distribution network planning. The paper firstly elaborates the basic concept of life cycle cost (LCC) of distribution network planning. Then a distribution network life cycle cost model, considering the initial investment, operation, maintenance and disposal costs, is constructed with the 10kV medium voltage power line for example, and the meanings of each sub-cost in this model are also analyzed. Then, the concept of life cycle cost is applied to the distribution network planning in Tangshan City, Hebei Province. Different planning solutions in two examples picked in class A and class B power supply regions are researched by life cycle cost method. By comprehensively comparing with the two planning solutions in annual cost, life cycle cost and reliability cost, the optimal planning solution of distribution network in two power supply regions is proposed, and the effectiveness of the life cycle cost model in distribution network planning is confirmed.
