Abstract :
Improving the grid efficiency level is a major way to achieve economic operation and sustainable development of the power grids. Previous studies on power industry energy conservation are much concentrated on supply side or large power grid, while energy conservation study on distribution side is still in its infancy. Studies have shown that the loss of distribution grid accounts for 3/4 of the total power loss owning to its complex structure and poor reliability, which implies that it may have a larger space in terms of energy efficiency improvements. As a result, assessing the energy efficiency of distribution grid, improving the energy efficiency of distribution process, and quantifying the energy efficiency which could be enhanced accurately, will have a guiding significance to power industry energy conservation. Fully considered and analyzed the characteristic of the distribution grid, this paper divides it by region. After studying the currently available energy-saving means of distribution grid, this paper provides a total of 9 energy-saving measures. Since regional distribution grids may have diverse characteristics, different indicator has various effects on distribution grid energy conservation. And the integrated energy- saving effect of all those measures will be the result of distribution grid energy efficiency assessment. According to the principle of AHP, this paper utilizes scoring method to reflect the different effects arising from various energy saving measures. Then comes to the distribution grid efficiency assessment scores. According to the scores, the energy saving potential of distribution grid is divided into four levels. And the grids of higher level will be placed in higher priority when distribution gird energy-saving transformation happens. In this paper, a city of Liaoning Province in low voltage distribution grid works as an example of energy efficiency evaluation, whose energy-saving plan fully not only demonstrates the accuracy and - easonability of assessment conclusions, but also verifies the effectiveness and practicality of the index system. The results based on energy saving potential assessment of distribution grid will provide a theoretical basis for regional distribution grid transformation programs, and then promote the construction and development of distribution grid energy conservation.
