Abstract :
Three types of partial discharge (PD), including slot discharge, corona discharge at the slot exit, and bar-to-bar discharge existing on the surface of the ground wall insulation involving 10kV HV motors were presented in this paper. PD patterns were induced through off-line experiment by using single factor aging stator coils embedded into a real stator core slot. The phase resolved partial discharge (PRPD) representation was adopted to gain the fingerprint characteristics of PDs. The research can provide the basis for the on-line monitoring and fault diagnosis of 10kV HV motors.
